Problem: The net forces acting on masses are equal to each other but unknown

Problem: The net forces acting on masses are equal to each other but unknown. Masses are unknown too. Resulting accelerations a₁, a₂ are known. Find the acceleration if the same force acts on the both masses coupled together. First derive a formula for the unknown acceleration in terms of the known accelerations. Calculate the solution for a₁=3m/s², a₂=6m/s².
